Client Policies

Consultations

We offer free consultations to discuss your tattoo design ideas, placement options, and style preferences. During these sessions, we can answer any questions you may have. Consultations can be easily scheduled through our online booking system and require a card on file. We request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Please note that missed consultations or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a $30 fee.

Deposits

To book a tattoo appointment we require a $100 non-refundable deposit. This deposit not only secures your time with the artist but also covers the design process and is deducted from the final cost of your tattoo. If your tattoo requires multiple sessions, the deposit will be applied to the final appointment.

Each deposit allows for one reschedule with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. If you need to reschedule more than once or provide less than 48 hours’ notice, a new deposit will be required. Please note that no-calls and no-shows will result in a forfeited deposit for your appointment and a new deposit will be required to schedule.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancelling your appointment means the deposit is forfeited. Missed appointments without notice (no-call/no-show) or arriving more than 15 minutes late without calling may also result in forfeiting your deposit and losing your scheduled time.

Tattoo Design Process

Once you’ve had your consultation and placed a deposit your artist will begin the design process. You’ll receive an appointment reminder before your scheduled session. Most artists present designs when you arrive. Minor edits can often be made on the spot, but significant changes may require rescheduling and an additional deposit.

Some artists may choose to send your design in advance, so be sure to ask your artist what their policy is. Please keep in mind that major redesigns requested late in the process may result in a new deposit.

Artists will not draw or prepare designs without a deposit and appointment scheduled, which is standard practice. This protects their time and also helps them prioritize their work according to appointment dates. Thank you for your understanding and respect for their creative workload.

Appointment Expectations

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time (there is no need to arrive early). Our artists carefully plan their workflow, including setup, cleanup, and short breaks between sessions, to ensure you receive their full focus and best work. Arriving at your scheduled time helps us stay on track and maintain a healthy, smooth-running environment for everyone.

Once you complete your consent forms, your artist will review your design, place the stencil, and begin your tattoo once everything is prepared. We’re happy to adjust or re-place the stencil until it feels just right to you — please don’t hesitate to ask. You’re the one living with your tattoo forever, and we want you to love the placement before we begin your tattoo.

Dress comfortably and ensure the tattoo area is easily accessible. You’re welcome to bring snacks, headphones, or anything to help you feel relaxed — just be sure you can stay still during your tattoo.

We prioritize your comfort and privacy. If you’re receiving a tattoo in a sensitive area, feel free to bring supportive clothing or ask for a privacy screen. If you prefer a quieter, conversation-free session, just let your artist know.

Aftercare

We offer two healing methods for your tattoo experience: the derm-shield (clear medical adhesive bandage) and traditional aftercare (wrap + ointment). Your artist will recommend the best option based on your skin type, placement, and lifestyle

.

Traditional Aftercare

Leave the dri-loc pad and wrap on for 2–3 hours to absorb excess ink and fluid. Wash your tattoo with an unscented antibacterial soap and pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Apply a thin layer of ointment (such as A&D or Aquaphor) or a scent-free lotion (such as Lubriderm or Cetaphil), rubbing it in completely. Avoid leaving excess product on the tattoo.

Repeat this process at least three times daily for two weeks or until peeling occurs. You may continue moisturizing daily until the area is no longer itchy. Avoid swimming or soaking in pools, tubs, rivers, or lakes. Do not pick, scratch, or peel your tattoo. Avoid sun exposure while your tattoo is healing, especially during the first 48 hours.

Derm Shield / Saniderm Method

Saniderm may be placed over your tattoo and left on for 3–5 days. If a large fluid pocket develops, the bandage may be replaced within the first 24 hours. Removal is easiest in the shower with warm water and soap. Gently lift an edge and pull outward; the bandage will release slowly, similar to a command strip. Do not pull back toward the tattoo.

After removal, wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap, pat dry with a clean paper towel, and lightly moisturize with a scent-free lotion. Avoid swimming, soaking, or prolonged water exposure for 1–2 weeks. Do not pick, scratch, or peel your tattoo.

These guidelines are general aftercare recommendations. Your artist will provide specific instructions based on your tattoo and skin, and may advise medical evaluation if concerns arise.

If you have any questions during the healing process, please contact your artist.
